Naxos Festival 2015
The Naxos Festival completes a 15 year course in a tireless and creative journey, having as its prime concern to promote the Islands of Naxos as a cultural-tourism destination of first choice. In this context we have hosted, assigned and created high quality productions and seminars through meetings with leading artists of the older and younger generations but also by getting together with other organisations, museums, institutes, embassies and festivals. Year by year and chip by chip, we have managed to construct a multicultural identity that delicately puzzles together culture with education, training and social intervention, a palimpsest that never ceases to reinvent redefine and reformulate itself without losing its character.

The fragile works of Nikos Alexiou made of paper and reed harmoniously co-exist with the Naxian marble sculptures of Ingbert Brunk within the plastic structure of the tower while Costis Antoniadis awaits us with his photographic installation on the ruins of the nearby 9th Byzantine monastery of Kaloritsa.
